Mechanical Design Engineer
Due to an impending retirement within the technical design department we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Mechanical Design Engineer.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of engineering and design activities using your experience and judgment to develop, improve, modify or streamline department projects, operations, products, or specifications, whilst being responsible for design integrity, cost, scheduling and manufacturability requirements as it relates to the product.
Responsibilities:
You will review all applicable job data, including POs, project plans and specifications to determine characteristics of order and establishing engineering objectives, before generating design, general arrangement and other submittal CAD drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks within timescales, providing design calculations where necessary and documentation support for project work as well as preparing and updating layouts, detailed drawings, calculations, specifications, and documented work instructions and parts lists necessary to achieve customers requirements.
Qualifications:
You will be qualified to at least HNC in Mechanical Engineering and possess the ability to read and understand specifications, fabrication, erection, and standard engineering drawings with experience of fabrication, machining, and assembly techniques.
Rate: Negotiable

Team Leader – Fabricator
Required to lead, develop and participate within a department of skilled and semi skilled fabricators and welders in constructing both heavy and light fabrications utilised within heavy process industries (energy and materials handling). The applicant must be skilled in all aspects of fabrication (formal qualifications preferred but not essential) and fully conversant with engineering build and welding standards whilst being able to work within strict time frames with minimal supervision and guidance.
